Step 1 โ€” Background (p.49)

Where your hero came from. Grants some starting qualities. Roll/choose, then assign a die size to each quality on your sheet below.

Step 2 โ€” Power Source (p.57)

How your hero got their powers. Grants powers (assign your background dice to the listed categories) plus Yellow abilities.

Step 3 โ€” Archetype (p.73)

What kind of hero you are. Grants more powers/qualities, your Green abilities, and a second principle.

Step 4 โ€” Personality (p.101)

Your demeanor under pressure. Sets your status dice and an Out ability. Status die sizes come from the rulebook chart โ€” assign them below.

Step 5 โ€” Red Abilities (p.106)

Choose two Red abilities from the groups matching the powers and qualities you took. Filter by category, then add.

Step 6 โ€” Retcon (p.112)

Take one retcon to tweak your hero. Pick it here, then apply the change to your sheet by hand.

Step 7 โ€” Health (p.113)

Total Health = 8 + your Red status die (max) + the highest die (max) among your Athletic powers / Mental qualities + a d4 (or take 4).

Red โ€”
The printed Green/Yellow/Red breakpoints didn't survive the rulebook's text extraction, so the zones above are an even-thirds estimate. Confirm exact ranges on p.113 and edit on your sheet if needed.

Step 8 โ€” Finishing Touches (p.114)

Lock in identity and rename your abilities to fit your hero.

Remember to give every Green/Yellow/Red/Out ability a name that fits your hero (on the sheet below).
